Background

Inscryption was the first game I carried out Haptics Design for at Huey Games, it is a BAFTA Winning and Nominated Card-based Horror Game and has won a whole lot more awards. I taught myself how to create Haptic Vibrations just prior to this project, and I was really pleased with the outcome. This was a really new interesting concept to me since the new PS5 DuelShock Controllers were released and was really excited by this project and was a real pleasure to work on.

Job Description and Responsibilities

My main focus when getting started with this project was to give the user an experience where they could be fully immersed in the game. When creating the Haptic Audio Files, I had to make sure that the vibration audio was a suitable feeling with what was going on within the video captured clips and also very well timed, in order for the the user to believe what they were seeing on the Screen was also what they were feeling on the Controller in order to give them the best playing experience.

Throughout the creation of the files for Inscryption, my other roles were to self-feedback and respond to the team's feedback, as well as making sure I was on track with everything to meet deadlines to get the best possible quality Haptics to match a top quality game.
